Mrs Shetal
My name is Shetal Patel, and I am truly honored to be part of the Swadeshi Roots family, an initiative that so beautifully celebrates and preserves Indian culture. Children are our future, and
there is no greater gift than helping them understand and take pride in their origins. I deeply resonate with our vision of fostering a meaningful connection to the Indian language, culture, and values in young minds.
Academically, I hold a double Master’s degree in Bioscience (Microbiology) and Master of Education (M.Ed), along with a Diploma in Human Resources from a Canadian college. Over the years, I have worn many professional hats, beginning my journey as a school teacher in Gujarat, India, and currently working as an Operations Expert with a Canadian organization.
My path has also included roles as a freelancer, content writer, and administrative assistant, alongside the most enriching role of being a mother. Motherhood has shaped my teaching philosophy profoundly. It has taught me resilience, adaptability, empathy, creativity, and above all, patience, a virtue that is increasingly rare in today’s fast-paced world.
Gujarati, my native language, is close to my heart, and I feel privileged to pass on its beauty and depth to the younger generation. Through rhymes, poetry, songs, fables, stories, and mythological narratives, I aim to inspire curiosity, confidence, and cultural pride in every child.
I look forward to creating a warm, engaging, and joyful learning environment where children feel connected to their roots while having fun along the way.
I really hope to see you in my class. I look forward to walking this meaningful path of learning and cultural connection together.

Sincerely,
Mrs Shetal
